Wooten
Antieks, owned and operated by Jo Jones and Wade
Wooten, has been selling painted furniture to the trade
for over 20 years. Wooten's trademark painted
finishing technique grew from Wade's experience
restoring original painted finishes on antique furniture
pieces that Jo found and imported from Europe, as well
as pieces he restored for other dealers and
collectors.
The
majority of our pieces are replicas of original antiques
we have found and are fabricated in The Czech Republic
and Central Europe, then painted in our warehouse in
Round Rock, Texas just outside of Austin. Since all
items in the Wooten Antieks collection are handcrafted,
they vary in finish, styling, coloration and size from
others you have seen or received.
We specialize
in store fixtures, large display cases, and other pieces
that lend themselves to displays in stores as well as
the home. To feed our addiction to antiques, we still
import a small number of old pieces, restore and finish
them with our painted finish.
All solid wood
products are subject to shrinkage, warping and seasoned
cracks over time and will experience normal seasoning.
Please remember that these occurrences are
non-structural and will not affect the durability of the
piece.
In most cases any variance will enhance
the beauty of the piece, giving it a cherished heirloom
appearance. Variances in wooden finishes, including worn
edges, uneven planks, dents, scratches and nicks, are
considered a natural characteristic of the items' unique
handcrafted charm and beauty. Given minimal care, Wooten
Antieks products will provide many years of use.
